Today: “Take the Streets” gathering
Tomorrow: Student walkout, Immigrants’ Rights march, “Seattle Resist Trump Coalition” rally
Saturday: Women’s March on Seattle
These events are expected to be peaceful, but I wouldn’t be surprised if things turn a bit non-peaceful. And these are just the ones that we were e-mailed about at work (mainly because they have the potential to impact traffic – as if the traffic couldn’t get any worse) – expect many, many more gatherings. This is just Seattle, I imagine every other large city has probably got something similar going on. This is what happens when you have the most divisive and hated president-elect in history about to take power – I shall not be watching the Inauguration tomorrow (though I might follow it online in anticipation that something amusing or crazy happens).
