I really hate the annual spectacle (of mediocrity) that is March Madness, which started last week - when a bunch of students from universities I've never heard of play a series of basketball games that no one really cares about. But naturally I still filled in a bracket, because it was free and the prizes were huge. Though the probability of accurately filling in a bracket is about 1 in 9.2 quintillion (though if you account for seeding, it might come down to only about 1 in 5.7 billion). A quick check on my ESPN bracket shows that I'm in the barely above average 62% percentile (my ranking is about 6.6 million!). I'll think I'll stick to doing the lottery.
