Even for the most non-internet savvy people, I would consider this unacceptable. It's been a long time since I experienced such a lag just waiting for a website to load (and indeed to download photos to this blog), and streaming anything at this speed is not even feasible. Was it this bad when I was back before? Possibly, but it seems noticeably worse this time around. But I'm going to guess that nothing will be done about it - and if it doesn't bother the people who pay for this service, then perhaps it is fine? Personally, I think it is a rip-off - and I think it explains why our Skype calls have been so lacking in call quality.
