Christmas Spirit

For the first time forever, I don't have an advent calendar this December.  It didn't even cross my mind.  Admittedly, it's not such a big deal here compared to the UK and I don't remember even encountering any for sale at my usual haunts - but still, I surprise myself by missing the opportunity to treat myself to a chocolate every day.  And now we are past Thanksgiving, the gaudy Christmas decorations have started to come out in force.  And I see some real eyesores on my commute home.  I haven't put any decorations up yet, and I'll probably only go minimal this year since I won't be here for most of it.  Yep, I'm already over Christmas.  At least only 9 more days of work to go now for me this year.
