Poppy Etiquette

Questions.  Which side are you supposed to wear your poppy on?  And what position should the poppy leaf be in?  Totally by coincidence, or good intuition, I seemed to have followed the internet consensus.  That is, wearing my poppy over my heart and with the leaf in a 11 o'clock position.  Though, as the British Legion quite rightly say, the best way to wear one is with pride.  And since no one in the US wears a poppy, I am proud to wear mine.
