A rare sunny day (at least until it started clouding over this afternoon), so went for a lunchtime walk from work to somewhere I’ve never been to before – Streissguth Gardens. As the crow flies, it’s not very far away from work at all (0.3 miles according to Google Maps!) – but in reality feels a lot more because it is ALL uphill, so a brief but intense workout just to get there (so I took a more circuitous but less steep route just to get some more steps in). It’s kind of interesting – basically a well-maintained garden sitting on a hillside with some nice views over Lake Union, that was once private but is now public and crisscrossed with some small trails. Main reason for going – there was a geocache to be found there, which took much longer to find than it should have given I had a clue to where it was. I’m clearly out of practice. But find it I eventually did, though no good treasures to be plundered.
