Palace

You think you're comfortable after a decent run of form - then you lose to Brighton (again) in the early game and then see Cardiff, Southampton and Newcastle all win - so once again you can't get that separation between yourselves and the relegation zone.  Disappointing, and you're still looking over your shoulder and can't afford to relax.  At least your next league game is against Huddersfield - and even though it's at home where you don't get many points, you'll be disappointed if you don't get all 3 in that game.  But before that you've got an FA Cup Quarter Final - which honestly you shouldn't care about too much because league survival has to be the only priority.

  1. Your last sentence is a big point of discussion on the forums & it isn't as clear cut (even for me) as premiership = everything, FA Cup = nothing.

I think we are fairly safe this season - our squad looks (sic) too classy to go down (although the loss of Sahko is big).

BUT, for a club like ours, the bell will tolleth at some point (however "established" we may think we are) - examples pretty plentiful - Stoke, all Midland's clubs, all NE clubs.

Bar the big 4 (LFC, MUFC, Arsenal & Spurs), plus temporarily whilst they have money, Man City & Chelsa, relegation is as inevitable as taxes / death.

    This leaves legacy.

Bar the 1989 Zenith Data Systems Cup, we've won precisely fuck all, ever. Close twice (thanks Man U), but no cigar.

I for one, would actually like to see Palace WIN something in my lifetime, rather than be perennially trying to hang on to "the money".

I hope Roy goes fot it next week.

Fuckin' hate Watford for their treatment of Zaha anyway!!!
(& Elton John is a little twat of a man).
