Who is America?

I've been watching Sasha Baron Cohen's latest - though it's a bit of a slog because it is so cringeworthy and difficult to watch.  But what is most disappointing is how unshocking some of the things people - generally elected officials - will say and do nowadays.  Whether they voice their real life morally repugnant beliefs, or whether they say whatever morally repugnant statements are put in front of them just to get on TV, it does not reflect well on America.  Specifically, Trump's America.  This is a sad time for a great nation.
