UK Internet

It's interesting that almost every single website I normally visit in the US now requires me to grant consent to use cookies before I can open it up in the UK.  I guess this is part of the EU Privacy Law?  It's weird and it's a pain.  I even got the same message when I opened up this - my own blog.  And it has also blocked access to me on at least one website I often go to - don't worry nothing nefarious, it's just a Seattle news website.
