Despite the tennis, it's that time of year when we're in a bit of a black hole when it comes to sports. And that was perfectly epitomized today when the choice of football to watch was between the Club World Cup - a glorified friendly - or the Women's European Championship - where the quality of football is so bad it's unwatchable. I get that there has been a noticeable increase in popularity in women's football - but personally it's not for me. In much the same way that I struggle to watch the MLS, anything inferior to the quality set by the Premier League is difficult to watch.
