Trump can stick his "big, beautiful" bill up his big and decidedly unbeautiful ass. Especially concerning the massive injection of taxpayer's money ($75 billion!) to ICE - an agency which is acting more and more like the Nazi SA. The images of masked agents carrying out arrests in public areas is really unsettling. And the construction of controversial detention facilities like "Alligator Alcatraz" is only going to escalate. As someone who has gone through the proper channels to become a legal permanent resident in the US, on some level I am not opposed to the efforts to arrest and deport people living illegally here. But I do seriously question the manner in which it is being achieved - notably through fear and intimidation. And I fundamentally disagree with who exactly warrants arrest and deportation. When you hear so many stories of good or innocent people being picked up in these raids, you know that something is very wrong. Particularly when it's people who are only guilty of having legally protested against the government in some way. Does even writing a post like this put me at risk? I hope not.
