There is nothing more annoying than when you click on a story, you get a message saying you have reached your monthly article limit. It seems to happen all the time on websites that I frequent quite a lot - for example like the Seattle Times for local news, and Vulture for pop culture. Yes, I guess I could pay the money to access unlimited articles on either of these sites. But I don't believe I should ever have to do that. Perhaps it's this attitude that is killing journalism. Or at least good journalism. I'm sure there's probably ways to get round the paywall - and indeed, I opened an incognito window and was able to view the article I couldn't before. I'll have to see if that works again in the future.
