Apparently the first winter storm is already forecast this week for the mountain passes. This is much earlier than anticipated - I had hoped to take a trip to Central or East Washington before the winter weather hit (you have to take Snoqualmie Pass over the mountains to get there from West Washington), but I might have left it too late. With winter weather comes travel restrictions - like having to carry traction tires and/or tire chains. Neither of which I have, or ever plan to get. So I guess any day trips I plan to take from now until April will have to be to the coast.
