When it comes to the weather, I think it is the norm now that we should expect the unexpected. And so after an unseasonably cold start to spring here, we have an excessive heat warning for Saturday through Friday. "Hot conditions with temperatures in the mid 80s to low 90s expected." What's that in Celsius? Something like 30 to 35 C. Nice. So am I going to be able to make the most of this weather? Nope - in tragically predictable fashion, the best weather of the year so far is going to happen on the same weekend that I fly to California. Classic Sod's Law. At least it should also be quite nice in California.
