TV Update

From a quick look at my DVR recordings - scheduled and current - here are a few programs that I'm watching (or plan to watch) that are worthy of mention:

Homeland - the last series of Homeland is currently airing.  Obviously nowhere near as good or as iconic as the early seasons, but still quite watchable.

Kidding - probably the best comedy currently on TV.  Though the word comedy is extremely loose in this regard, this show is very dark.  But if you know who Fred Rogers is, then this is a no-brainer.

The New Pope - probably the most original show on TV.  The follow up to The Young Pope, this is just as good and pleasingly unique.  Must watch.

Better Call Saul - the penultimate (?) series is currently airing.  A totally different vibe to Breaking Bad, even though it has a setting and characters in common, this is one of the few prestige shows still airing.  Quality stuff.

The Outsider - this is the current flagship program on HBO (until Westworld starts its third season next month) that airs at 9 pm on Sunday night.  I've been recording it, but haven't watched any episodes yet - but by all accounts it's one of the better Stephen King adaptations.
