A few more photos

Since I was in the vicinity this week, a couple of close up shots of the iconic Space Needle.  We’re clearly in peak tourist season as there looked to be horrible lines to go up there – it’s not even the best or cheapest place in Seattle to get the best views.




And it finally looks like the smoky atmosphere we’ve had for the last couple of weeks might be clearing up this weekend – some cooler and cloudy weather coming in.  Maybe even some rain to break the current 50+ day run of no measurable rainfall.  This was the view of the downtown waterfront on Wednesday, and it was a clear day so you should have been able to see Mount Rainier in the background – instead, as you can see, even the stadiums are a little hazy in this shot.
