I went to the local shopping mall at lunch today to try to buy a pair of shorts. I say try, because I didn't succeed. Both the big chains, Macy's and JCPenney, had a pitiful to non-existent selection. Perhaps trying to buy some shorts at the end of summer isn't the best timing. Nonetheless, very disappointing. No wonder department stores are dying. I'm probably going to end up buying some shorts online instead. And for a lot less.
