Imagine my surprise to discover this on my driveway yesterday:
I only noticed it when I almost stood on it - scaring the bejesus out of me. But no, it was very dead. I have no idea how it got there - did I run it over, did some disgruntled neighbor leave it there to send a message, did some other animal drop it there, did it die of old age? I have no clue. But yes, confirmation of another animal in my yard that I've only ever seen as tracks in the snow.
