I caught a little bit of Young Sheldon today - the prequel to The Big Bang Theory. Not a show that I watch regularly, and it was quite disturbing to see how much the lead actor who plays the "young" version of Sheldon Cooper has aged in 6 seasons (120 episodes!) . He's gone from being a cute and just about passable version of a young Jim Parsons, to looking, sounding and acting nothing like Jim Parsons. It's extremely unsettling, and perhaps a clear indication that the series has run it's course. At least the actor doesn't come across as loathsome as a couple of the kid actors became in Modern Family. Interestingly, it seems that the show has somehow evolved so that the lead/title character is no longer the most important or the most interesting one in the show. Perhaps that's why it's still going.
