I've been reading about Palace possibly being barred from competing in the Europa League next year. It sounds ridiculous - a possible multiclub ownership rule violation because one of our American minority shareholders is also a majority shareholder in Lyon, who also happen to be competing in the same competition next year. It shouldn't be a problem because this guy is not involved in the day-to-day running of the club, and he could apparently have avoided the problem by putting the shares in a blind trust - but didn't. So apparently this guy is interested in selling his stake now. And I was reading that the New York Jets owner is in talks to acquire them. This could potentially be a disaster. He is generally regarded as the worst owner in the NFL, and also happens to be a Trumpite. And he has also previously declared himself to be a Chelsea supporter. Yikes.
