I've always said to myself that I might consider taking up golf when I retire. But now I'm thinking it might be sooner. I've currently got my golf practice net set up outside, and I've been hitting some balls every day. But judging from how well I hit balls into a net, I'm clearly not very good. But I want to be better, and I like the idea of playing regular rounds of golf. I don't think it would be a problem finding people to play with - I have friends who play regularly, as does my landlord. But I need to do a few things before that. The first is to buy a beginner set of golf clubs. I'm currently using a set that was gifted to me from a friend - but they're not in great condition and the grips on them are already falling apart. I was looking at some sets online today - but I think I might see if I can get something cheap in the Amazon Prime Day sale in a few weeks' time. The next step after that would be to start frequenting a local driving range. And maybe even getting lessons. But one step at a time - knowing me, this aspiration will probably end up going nowhere.
