American-English

I've got an American puzzle book which includes a word-search where you are given a "British" word and have to find it's American equivalent in the grid.  Right in my wheelhouse you'd think, but some of the British words are absolutely bizarre.  So, pop quiz, could you get the following:

Accumulator
Black Treacle
Chucker Out
Cubbyhole
Fascia Panel
Pantechnicon
Polka Dots
Sponge Bag

I don't know whether I'm just ignorant, but I've either never heard of these or never in the context of the American word.  I'll give you the "answers" in a few blogs' time.
