The bad news - I didn't win the Powerball lottery on Saturday. The good news - neither did anyone else, so the jackpot has grown to something like $1.1 billion for Monday's drawing. The fifth largest in history. Of course I'll buy some tickets for this drawing - even if the statistical chance of winning is effectively zero (1 in 292.2 million - that's an awful lot of 0's after the decimal place).
