I don't know why America hasn't really embraced lamb as a meat - it is almost impossible to get at the grocery store. And when you can, it is not cheap. Unusually they had some lamb shoulder on sale the other week, so I got some. I had it tonight, and the cut was so disappointing. Too much bone, too much fat and not enough meat - I ended up gnawing at the bones, like an animal, just to get as much meat as I could. It just made me miss roast lamb even more than I already do.
