It's a kind of quiet time of year for decent new shows on telly. I can't comment on Alien: Earth because I haven't started watching it yet, although by all accounts it is very good. So instead, I'm going to recommend the most recent entry in the Dexter universe, Dexter: Resurrection. It's a welcome return to form: enjoyably over the top and very watchable. Admittedly, I'm a Dexter fan - I've watched all the previous series, including the spin-offs. But this is the best Dexter show in several years. I was skeptical about bringing Dexter back from the dead yet again, but I'm glad to have been proved wrong.
