The aurora forecast has been good for the last couple of days. But have I seen any lights in the night sky? Have I heck. With rain and overcast conditions, there was no chance of seeing anything tonight. But last night, the clouds were a bit more scattered so I should have been able to see something. But when I was outside, this was all I saw.
Absolutely nothing. Based on some photos of the aurora I found online, I think I just messed up with the timing. I popped outside a few times between about 9 pm and 11 pm and didn't see anything. But it looks like if I had tried looking earlier in the evening, I might have had better luck. That's disappointing. And frustrating. But I'm sure there'll be other opportunities to catch the lights.
