DVR Update

I hoped I might get through a lot of my recordings over Christmas - but my DVR is still 50% full.  And a problem I've encountered is that there are several shows that I really want to like but are proving to be a real struggle to complete.  There's Ken Burns' The American Revolution - which is undeniably good, but incredibly slow and meandering.  It requires a mood and level of concentration that I don't often have.  And then there's Alien: Earth, which I've just started to watch.  Or, more accurately, just started to try to watch.  I'm not sold on it so far - it seems all over the place.  I feel I should stick with it because I like the director (although, tellingly, I never got through the entirety of Legion either), the cast and the franchise.  What else... I've still got to watch Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light.  Which I'm putting off until I get round to re-watching the original Wolf Hall - whenever that will be.  And I haven't started on IT: Welcome to Derry yet - another series that was quite well reviewed.  I'd much rather watch a decent adaptation of The Dark Tower series, if they ever make one - a Stephen King series that I have actually read all the books of.  There's also a whole bunch of films I've recorded on my DVR (even though I could probably just as easily stream them) - but which are clearly not appealing enough for me to watch in a hurry.  For example, 3 hours of The Brutalist is not exactly an attractive proposition.
