A Dry Spell

It doesn't seem that long ago that I was moaning about how wet it had been here.  We are experiencing a significant winter dry spell, currently standing at 11 consecutive dry days.  This is one of the longest dry stretches in January on record.  And although we are not affected by the winter storm blanketing a large amount of the US with snow and ice, it has gotten considerably colder recently.  Indeed, there is a cold weather advisory tonight, with temperatures as low as 20 to 25 degrees expected (that's about -7 to -4 Celsius).  My electricity bill from all the electric heating is going to be horrendous this month.
