I bought a cheap Chromebook in the Amazon Prime Day sales today. Nothing flashy at all - it was less than $200 (plus sales tax). But even at that price, I wonder if it was worth it. It's normally only the low end electronics that get any sort of decent discounts in sales like this. And although a few websites I checked did say this particular model was a good deal, it wasn't a necessity (I think the Chromebook I'm using right now still has a couple of years left before it "expires" - i.e. stops getting security updates). Oh well, it's done now. Yet another questionable purchase - something I should probably be more careful about if I get laid off.
