It's rumo(u)red that Alaska Airlines might be adding direct flights from Seattle to London next year. It would be good to have another choice of carrier, and hopefully the extra competition would bring down flight prices. Though I'm not sure it will happen. Alaska are part of the Oneworld alliance which includes British Airways, so I suspect if they add a European destination then it might not be London. Alaska's hub is in Seattle, so they are an airline I have used quite a lot to travel within the US. In fact, I think I still have some airline credit with them (that I've somehow managed to roll over several times since COVID cancelled my original flights). Which reminds me that I should make use of this and book a trip somewhere (top choices: Chicago, San Diego or Albuquerque).
