The last few days have been the hottest of the year so far. And it's a nightmare. My bedroom tends to get very warm, and so getting good sleep is proving problematic. And I certainly wasn't prepared for this sudden heatwave - it was only last week that I was still using the central heating overnight. And I hadn't even swapped out the portable heater in my bedroom with the portable fan until yesterday (the portable AC unit won't come out until the peak of summer). Tomorrow is apparently going to be worse - getting as high as 82F (28C), before mercifully dropping back to 61F (16C) on Thursday. So yes, tomorrow is definitely the first shorts day of the year.
