I seem to be getting a lot more spam calls than normal recently. At least I assume they are - they are numbers that I don't recognize, and they don't leave a message when I invariably don't answer the call. Sometimes they have a local area code, sometimes they do not, and sometimes they are identified as "Scam Likely". Is it just me getting more of these calls? I doubt it - I suspect everyone is getting them. But perhaps because I've recently switched my mobile provider, that maybe my new one doesn't block these spam calls as well as my previous provider. But it's not just calls, I've also been getting a few more spam text messages recently. For example, messages that are telling me I'm overdue paying a "Good to Go" toll - which is a real road toll in Washington State. One problem with that - I've not taken these toll roads. I suspect AI and other technological advancements are making it easier for scammers to scam. Scum.
