Among the barrage of adverts for the film Wicked - a film that looks awful and that I have absolutely zero interest in watching, based on a musical that I haven't seen and that I don't care about - I've seen a few adverts for Back to the Future: The Musical. It is currently on a North American tour which has reached Seattle - and tickets are on sale for some December dates at the Paramount Theater (Theatre) in Seattle. I have been to see a musical there before - I saw The Book of Mormon quite a few years ago. And I tried to get tickets for Hamilton, but it sold out really quickly (however, apparently Hamilton is returning in February next year). I'm not sure how keen I am to watch a musical version of Back to the Future. I have absolutely no idea if it is any good, or even whether it was a big Broadway or West End show. I suspect it won't be able to duplicate the magic of the film. But I am tempted.
