Fantastic Beasts

With nothing better on TV - and there is very little good on British TV - I rewatched some of the Fantastic Beasts trilogy from the Harry Potter franchise.  I think I've seen these before, though the fact that I'm not entirely sure says a lot about how memorable, or not, they are.  But the thing that struck me as I watched some of them today - and I didn't even watch the third film where perhaps it is most obvious - is just how similar Grindelwald is to Donald Trump.  I don't think that is coincidental - these films came out around the time of Trump's first term.  And I see online that this has already been greatly remarked upon at the time of the release of these films - but I somehow missed that.  These films have already been soured by controversy - not least those involving several stars and the creator of the series.  And rewatching them, they are watchable but they are a bit of a mess.  Apparently the next step in the Harry Potter franchise is the development of a TV series.  I hope it is a success - because that will add value to the various Harry Potter Lego sets I've got that I have no intention of actually building!
