Woke up this morning to this ugly scene outside my back door:
What the heck happened? This is why I got a trail cam. A quick look at the photos captured over the last week or so confirms a lot of squirrel and deer action. This I had seen with my own eyes. But then the last photo - captured this morning - perhaps reveals the real culprit:
Yep, that blurry image appears to be a coyote making a direct beeline towards my bird bath. And it looks big enough to have accidentally - or intentionally? - pushed over the bird bath. Yikes. I hope this coyote isn't still around - I certainly don't want them getting to the hummingbird feeders, which I'm already worried won't last very long whilst I'm away (even with as many feeders as I have right now).
