The TV show The Last of Us has been set in Seattle for the last few episodes. But like many other film and TV series which are supposed to depict Seattle or Washington State, it is clearly not filmed there. Nope, just like the others it is obviously filmed in Vancouver or British Columbia. And it shows, at least to people like me who are familiar with Seattle. I don't recognize any of the Seattle depicted in The Last of Us. Admittedly I think a lot of what is on screen is CGI, and we're probably not supposed to totally recognize this post-apocalyptic depiction of what is left of the city. But although they have thrown in some Seattle landmarks and neighbo(u)rhoods, it just doesn't feel right. And this is quite surprising and disappointing, because apparently the Seattle depicted in the video game on which the TV show is based is supposed to be really good. Apparently the accuracy and attention to detail in the game version of Seattle is very realistic compared to the real Seattle. It's a shame that this doesn't seem to have been duplicated in the TV show. A TV show which I'm worried about, because the quality of the show has definitely taken a step back since the shocking events of a few episodes back.
