I still have a lot of concerns about my job future, despite my manager insisting that I shouldn't worry about anything (at least this year). At this point, I'm almost hoping to get laid off so that I can enjoy a prolonged holiday. Especially since it seems that things are about to get exponentially more stressful at work. I've already had a busy start to the year, but it appears that it might get much worse soon as I take on more tasks as resources get shifted about. The next step in the streamlining of our department is apparently to get rid of all the contractors, hence the increase in workload. Sadly this is something I think they have to do before they can start laying off full-time employees next...
